I can deal with the saving option, if i first create a folder in the place I want to save it in, then it will appear in the recent saved folders. Have updated to 5.5.1, and saved project.

Just download it, replace the 5.x version which you are using, and use it. At moment, if you are a v5.x registered user, into the user area you will find the 5.5.1 version. The full version of DSP-Quattro is always into the user area.

I mean, all 4.x versions are for free to v4.x registered users, as all v5.x are free for v5.x registered users. The updates are free if not a major update. I don't need a whole lot of plugins on a track or in a project because by the time I get to cd burning everything is done save for maybe a little eq tweak and compression via just 2 plugins. As such - I'd have to consider it a no-brainer if you need this functionality on Mac. And honestly, I don't know what the alternative would be without spending a lot of $. Quattro has all the features I need, including a much more generous allowance for plugin instances (both on master channel and on individual tracks) than Wavelab Elements - and, for me, a far more intuitive workflow.
And, it's an extremely complicated and challenging project, I might add - 21 tracks, with all sorts of overlaps/crossfading etc. DSP Quattro's latest version has been working FLAWLESSLY for me for my current CD assembly/mastering/burning project.
